With a background in digital marketing and a passion for helping businesses thrive, he left the comfort of a 9–5 job to build something meaningful, a company that puts small businesses first. Dakota leads with vision, heart, and grit, focusing on real results through paid advertising, SEO, and conversion-focused strategies. He’s not just in it to market, he’s here to truly help businesses grow.
Derick Hernandez
Co-Founder
Derick is a full-stack developer with an eye for design and a heart for problem-solving. Before co-founding Marketing Pioneers, he ran his own web studio, helping local businesses build a presence online. Now, he brings deep technical skill and creative insight to every project, from beautiful, fast websites to automated systems that scale. With a focus on user experience and smart development, Derick builds the tech that turns ideas into income.

We didn’t set out to build “just another agency.” We set out to solve a problem.
Cody was stuck in a 9–5, wondering how he could use strategy and creativity to help real businesses grow. Derick was building websites for local companies, but he felt something was missing — businesses needed more than just a good-looking site, they needed results.
When we crossed paths, the vision clicked:
“What if we built something together, something that actually helps small businesses grow?”
That’s how Marketing Pioneers was born. No big office, no investors. Just two people with full-stack skills, marketing know-how, and the drive to create something better.
